Strawberry Cake with Cacao Honey Frosting

  • 1 + 1/4 cup (125g) rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup (85g) almond flour
    1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt


  • 2 very ripe bananas (175g total)
  • 1 cup (140g) Wyman’s frozen Strawberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cup (115g) greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp (36g) honey
  • 1 + 1/2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract



  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • Blend rolled oats in a fine flour
  • Add the oat flour to a bowl with the rest of the dry ingredients
  • Mix the dry ingredients until evenly combined
  • Add the bananas, vanilla, and strawberries to a blender and blend into an even consistency
  • Mix the wet ingredients into the dry
  • Add the cake batter to a lined or greased baking tin
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes

While the cake is cooling, mix the frosting ingredients together until smooth. If the frosting is not sweet enough to your taste, add an extra tablespoon of sugar. Frost, slice and enjoy!
